Spring 2026 Prose Contest: TRANSFORMATIONS

Euphony is hosting our annual spring prose contest, and the theme this year is “transformations”We want your magical realism, your coming-of-age, your breakups, your werewolves—interpret the prompt however you want! Theme: Transformations

What does the theme mean?: You can interpret our theme in any way, as long as your submission engages with transformations in some capacity. Interpret it as literally or metaphorically as you want. However you want to write it, we want to see it!

Prize: $20 and publication in our Spring 2026 print issue

Deadline: March 20, 2026

Genre: Prose. We would love to see your poems through our regular submissions, but they will not be considered for the prose contest. Fiction and nonfiction are both acceptable for the contest.

Format: Up to 12 pages (double-spaced, 12 pt., Times New Roman)

Attach your submission in a file compatible with Microsoft Word or a basic text editor—not in the body of the email—so the formatting of your work is preserved. .doc files are strongly, though not exclusively, preferred to .docx or PDFs.
